2010 Bowman Preview

I know I'm a bit late on this but if you haven't seen the preview than here is your chance.

Let's start with the base card.

It has a real clean and basic design. Nothing too amazing, I still don't know if I like it or not. At least it's better than last year.

1st Bowman chrome

This card looks amazing. The border will look great with the chrome. This card is already on my want list can't wait till it hits ebay.

Will I Buy: I'll probably buy a box later on, when they get cheaper. I liked last years design and this year looks like a huge improvement.

A new addition to my collection and my new favorite card. Believe it or not this is my first card purchase from eBay. It was a total of $6(shipping included). It's in good quality, nicely centered with slightly damaged corners. Nevertheless it's still an awesome card.

One of the most popular vintage card set, the T-206 has hit eBay this past weekend. Two cards from the set, A Ty Cobb(5 EX Grade) and an Izzy Hoffman(8 NM-MNT Grade) are being auctioned off separately . Six days are left to bid and the Ty Cobb card has reached over $1,500; the Izzy Hoffman $250. I can't imagine what the final price on the Ty Cobb card will be. I'll post a update when it's over.

Is This The Year

2009 was an okay year for collecting cards. Some products succeed others failed miserably. We are all awaiting the first baseball release of the year. There is a lot of speculation of how the year is going to turn out. I'm going to list improvements I would like to see and a few predictions for 2010.

1. Lower Prices:

Prices were ridiculous in 2009. Why would anyone buy a 80 dollar box when most of the time the cards are worthless. I don't just want a slight price change but a drastic one. Companies are taking advantage of buyers thinking they'll buy anything they make and most of the time they do. Lower prices would make us all feel less guilty of buying boxes.

2. Make Less Products

Companies are making so many products that it's driving many people away from collecting. So many products were released last year and half of them were awful. They should spend more time on 3-5 products instead of 10 + a year.

3. Include More Relics in Products

Lets face most relics and autographs are worthless, but for many people they are meaningful. Lets say 2010 Topps Baseball include 5 relics; It would sell like crazy. It would be easier to collect a whole set of relics. What do people look for when buying packs, relics.

Imagine a $3 pack that has 1:4 odds of a relic. I would defiantly buy more boxes with more relics included.

4. Make Better Looking Cards

A few sets last year had a nice design and the others were terrible. There are so many ways of making nice looking cards, just look around at all the custom cards. If companies would

put more effort and time on there designs people would buy more. The number one factor in deciding which pack or box to buy is in how much you like the design. Better design is the key.

2010 Prediction: There will be a slight rise in the amount of collectors, mostly consisting of children. Topps products will be okay kinda like 2009, but a bit better. 2009 & 2010 will be the same just with more advertising this year. Topps will get a lot

of pressure from MLB this year to create a better product and there products will improve significantly in 2011 not 2010. At the end of the year MLB will not be satisfied with Topps.

I sure 2010 will be a fun year for collecting and LWax will be here to review it all and comment on any news. Remember to comment I would like to hear your thoughts.

A Year in Review

2009 was the first year of collecting cards. I mean I was collecting since I was in 6th grade but never something serious. Ever since the card store at the mall closed a few years back, I stopped buying any cards. Except the 2 or 3 packs I bought every year. This past year I started getting into baseball a lot more. Although my Padres weren't very good this year, I did start following them more. I became more interested in cards and started looking for a card shop.I was lucky to find 2 great shops in my area. So thats how I became a collector. Now to my favorite and worst cards of the year.

The Fifth Man

Although, the free agent is barley heating up the Padres are looking to barley make any signings.

With Correia signing a 1 year/3.6 mil. contract the Padres rotation is set for the 2010 season.

The Padres rotation is Peavy less this year, but with all the young talented starting pitcher the rotation is going to surprise many people.

I'll try to give you non-Padre fans a little info on these pitchers

Chris Young

Was injured most of the last 2 seasons. His last full season was back in 2007 when he posted a 3.12 ERA. He's not ace material, but he will be leading the rotation offering some mentoring for the young pitchers.

Kevin Correia

Had a breakout season last year leading the Padres in wins with 12. His ERA was 3.91, but post the All-Star break he had a 3.26 ERA.

Mat Latos

Latos is one of my favorite Padre next to only Adrian Gonzalez. His fist year in the big leagues was an exciting one, in 7 outta 10 starts he allowed 2 or less earned runs. I can't wait for is 1st complete season, he learned a lot during the 09 season.

Clayton Richards

Came over from the White Sox's in the Peavy deal. He's not going to be an ace, but a back of the rotation guy. Don't expect an amazing season,but a solid one. Leaving U.S. Cellular Field and the American League will drastically improve his statistics.

This fith spot in the rotation up for grabs. Unless the Padres sign a starter or trade for one, they'll probably have Wade Leblanc or Tim Stauffer fill in the hole.

2008 Masterpiece Retail Box Break

After many weeks of not buying any pack I decided to buy some during the Black Friday sales. Although I got to the sale at two o'clock I still found some great products to purchase. I ended up buying a box of 2008 Masterpiece for $10. It was a retail box, but I didn't care. This was my first box that I've ever opened and the experience was great. Let's get to the cards now.

Thoughts: It was a good box, with some surprise hits, what more could've wanted for the ten bucks. It's cheaper than a blaster. I really like this set with the mix of legends and current players. I was disappointed that I did not get the Tony Gywnn card I was looking for. I hope to complete this nice looking set.

The Winter of Scott Boras(Contest)

With the baseball season already over, teams are preparing for next year. The Off-Season is looking up to be a hectic one, with many players moving to different teams. The Free-Agents available this year are making many teams pull out their check books. Teams that are desperate for a little pop in their lineup will be making a huge splash in the market. They will be making Scott Boras a richer man. Negotiations are going to be bidding wars and prices for players are gonna be steep. Lets take a look at the top free agents available.

1. Matt Holliday- The top free agent available, will draw many offers. He's going to end up on the team that bids the most. My guess is the Mets, they need some power, and their willing to acquire him no matter the price.

2. Jason Bay- Will attract any team that's looking for power in there lineup. Although his average was a little low he is still a good hitter. He'll probably get a huge lengthy contract. I think he is gonna head to San Fransisco, there going to be busy this off season.

3. Mike Cameron- Good all-around player, was exciting in 2007 with the Padres. He has so many teams that would be able to sign him. I'm taking a long shot on this one and saying he's heading back to San Diego.

4. Chone Figgins- Good hitter with blazing speed, and draws a lot of walks. A on-base % close to 400. Will probably get signed by the Mets.

LW's NFL Power Rankings: Week 1

What a great week of football it has been. Many close games were played that came down to the last seconds. Many great teams, its going to be brutal in the last weeks of the season.

1	1-0	There defense looks great. Losing Polamalu won't affect the Steelers that much. Roethlisberger was great facing the Titans tough Defense. Steelers are looking like a dynasty, but not yet.
2	1-0	Drew Brees had an terrific game with 6 TDs. Defense wasn't great allowing 27 points to a bad lions offense. The real test will be next week against the Eagles to see how the Defense holds up.
3	1-0	Green Bay looks like a threat in the NFC this year. The Packers just destroyed Cutler on Sunday. Made Cutler look like Kyle Orton and that's saying it politely
4	1-0	Many weapons on the Offense any QB can takeover and be decent. The Defense just shut down the Panthers passing game.
5	0-1	They lost but they looked great against a powerful Pittsburgh team. Titans are still great without Haynesworth.
6	1-0	The Cowboys look like a better without T.O. on the team. Roy Williams is going to have a breakout season.
7	1-0	Flacco hasn't missed a step from last year. There Defense didn't overpower the lowly Chiefs. They will rebound from this.
8	1-0	Very exciting game, but very sloppy by the Chargers. The Game winning drive was great, Rivers was amazing. The Chargers are used to starting slow.
9	1-0	Tom Brady looks good, his knee looks solid. Took him a while to get comfortable.
10	1-0	There Offense couldn't do anything right. There defense kept them in the game long enough to score the Game winning drive.

Its an exciting day today, not just because this is my first post in weeks, but because of the football season starting. I'm not just a Charger fan but a big Football fan. Last season was great from the beginning of the season to the exiting last seconds of the Super Bowl. This season feels like a great one not just for the League but also the Chargers.

With the Chargers having a good team this year many are expecting a championship win this year. Rivers was amazing last year and this year could be one his best yet. I don't think we have seen Rivers full potential reached yet.

Having Rivera as the Defensive coordinator in the beginning of the season will help us from starting so slow like every year. Our Defense should be great this year and aggressive like the Steelers.I think the Chargers only have one team blocking there road to the Super Bowl, the Steelers.

I'm predicting an 08 Division Championship rematch this year in the playoffs. Its really hard to predict an AFC champion this year, its going to be close.

What a great way to kick off the season with a Steelers Titans game. This game has everything a rivalry, the Defending champs and even a storyline that continues from last year. Its going to great game and a great season. I will be posting a recap of every week in the Nfl its going to be great. Hope you enjoy the season also comment on your thougths about the season.

These cards look amazing they really are fun to open. The card stock is really good quality and they feel thick. I really want to complete this set which will be fun. The pack was good got stars like Fielder and rookies like McDonald. McDonald is a Starting pitcher that is being used as a relief pitcher with a 2.37 ERA as a Reliever. He will be a good pitcher in the future he has a lot of upside.

2009 LLWS

I always love watching the Little League World Series and this year was great. Its incredible to see how great these kids play especially Luke Ramirez from this years championship team Chula Vista.

This kid is huge weighing 212 lbs. and measuring 6 feet so you know he has power. In six games Luke hitting 4 Home Runs, not just ones that barley make it past the fence but bombs.

He could easily hit some homers in Arlington Park. Did I say that he could always pitch we went 4 innings on Saturday and only gave up 1 hit. He was exciting to watch and was becoming a fan favorite and also a bit of a star back in San Diego.

Year set: 1930 & 1956

The only player that was close of tying or breaking the record was Albert Pujols in 2001. Pujols had 37 Home Runs in his rookie season, he was 1 HR away from tying the record.

Its pretty rare to see a rookie hit 25 HR in a season, only 22 players have. 38 just sounds ridiculous for a rookie to do.

Robinson had a great career getting a total of 586 Home Runs and 57 hits shy of 3000 hits.

Card of the Day: John Smoltz

Smoltz was looking like his career was over but his performance on Sunday has jump started back his Career. At one point of the game Smoltz struck out 7 batters in a row which was impressive. I hope Smoltz still has a bit still left in him. It will be interesting to see him back in the postseason because the Cubs don't have a chance to win the Division. Smoltz is quite impressive in the playoffs with a 15-4 record and a 2.65 ERA in 207 innings. It would be nice to see his career end on a positive note lie winning a World Series which the Cardinals are capable of doing. No matter what happens to Smoltz in St. Louis he is a future Hall Famer.

In an impersive 23 year carrer Yaz wasn't just a Home Run Hitter but a hitting machine. As incredible as 3,419 hits sound 453 Home runs to add to that sounds ridiculous. Yastrzemski is 1 of 3 players to have more than 3,400 hits and 450 Home Runs in a career.

I finally bought some packs, I haven't bought any for about 2 weeks so I'm craving cards. So I'm going review the Product and show the cards I got. Now lets look at the wrapper first than the cards.

Its very shiny to attract people but it only attracts kids but when was the last time you saw a kid buying sports cards. There only attracted to Yu-gi-oh(do kids still buy this).

Albert Pujols Base

The base is a bit boring and it looks very dull its not even glossy. If there wrapper are shinny as hell why can't there cards be like the freaking wrappers.

3 Xponential X3 Manny Ramirez

These have some interesting texture on it but its an x which is boring

UDx Die-Cut #87 Carl Crawford

Aren't there enough x on this cards for them to cut it into an x. It would be better if it was a diamond.

Why is he great: With World War II being fought in the early 40's, many great players had to go overseas to defend the country. The war left many players without playing for many years like Pesky. Johnny Pesky rookie season in 1942 was amazing for a second baseman hitting .331. After the 42 season Pesky was sent off to the Navy and served for 3 years. When Pesky returned in 1946 he was better than ever hitting .335 a career high. We still wonder what would Pesky have done if he would've played those 3 seasons we will never know. Johnny Pesky would go on to play 8 more season and be a Red Sox legend. Pesky was often associated with his teammates Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr and Dom DiMaggio who were all close friends. In an age where many players are self-centered and selfish Its hard to imagine 4 players being close.

Holy Snap Micheal Vick has just got signed by the Eagles. Many people thought vick wouldn't be signed others did. With Vick signing before the preseason we could see Vick in less than a week. Its going to pretty interesting when Vick plays his first game. There are many questions how will the fans react will he be booed will he get cheers. What will Peta and the protester react how hectic will his first game be. A very interesting note the Eagles will play at Atlanta Week 13. I wonder how the Atlanta fans will react if Vick plays. Many of his cards are still sought by many collectors. Many of his cards still even reach 70 bucks. When his new cards get released we know for a fact that collectors will still want his cards.

The designs have simplicity which is very good & I love simplicity, good work by Topps this year. The checklist for autos is pretty good and it features 2 Padres which is rare for any auto checklist. The autos are all on-card which is great. I'm liking the prices of the Hobby Boxes, $65, and there are 2 hits per box.

Pedro & The Playoffs

Pedro Martinez pitched his first game for the Phillies yesterday.Martinez got the win against the cubs beating them 12 to 4. He pitched a great game and looked good.His fastball was nice his changeup was amazing.

He gave up 3 runs and struck out 5 batters. In the game yesterday Pedro past Bob Gibson in total career strikeouts. Playing for the Phillies Pedro won't have to worry about run support because they score many runs. Pedro Martinez is going to be an important role in the Phillies pursuite for another consecutive World Series win.

There isn't much competition In the NL east except the marlins who are just 3 1/2 games behind but the Phillies got more depth in there roster which will help them at the end of the season and Postseason. It's getting interesting with the season ending in less than 2 months and teams pushing for a spot in the playoffs.

The most exciting playoff races are going to be both wild card races . I wanted to say the al east but if the Yankees continue to play the way there playing they will win the division by a wide margin. It's going to be an interesting 09 season which has been great.

Here are my Playoff Predictions.

West-Dodgers

Same like the Yankees(*see below)

Central-Cardinals

East-Phillies

Good all around will be the team to beat.

Wild Card- Giants

I really love the pitching which i think is the best in the NL and maybe in the MLB. There hitting is starting to hit good.

West-Angles

Texas won't catch the Angles they don't have a good pitching.

Central-White Sox

With Jake Peavy there Starting Rotation is going to be good and a threat in the playoffs

East-Yankees

There hitting like crazy but i still don't have a Ace to pull them through the playoffs.

Wild Card-Rays

It will either be the Rays or Red Sox it will go done to last 3 or 2 games of the season.

The Phillies announced today that the recently acquired Pedro Martinez will be in the starting rotation. He will get his first start of the year on Wednesday which will be on ESPN for the world to see. Although his best years are behind him we still think that maybe he still has a little bit left in the tank. Its going to be a different role for Pedro instead of being the ace he will try to help the struggling back end of the rotation. We might see the return of Pedro in the playoffs were he could win another World Series and be a lock in the H.O.F.

The top story buzzing around in the card world is Upper Deck losing MLB rights. Although losing the MLB rights they still have the MLBPA rights.This allows them to still produce cards with players name but with no logos of MLB or MLB teams. Upper deck is gonna go this route since they still wanna make cards. So I guess your wondering how are cards gonna look with no logos. Don't wonder anymore because with my photo shop skills LegendaryWax gots you covered.

This one doesnt look that bad but the no logo on the cap feels very weird but I could live with it.

Now this where we run into some problems. I mean you cant tell thats he wearing a baseball uniform. UD is going to have to pick its pictures wisley. Chose a bad picture and you wont be able tell if its a baseball card or not.

Now this one looks okay your not losing much logo just a little bit on the helmet which you can't even see.

I still cant get used to hats with no logos its too weird and so anti-baseball.

This is the best one yet, his hands covering the logo and he has a batting helmet which looks better than the hat when logo-less.

There you have it. When you really think about logoless cards aren't that. I really think UD can pull it off and still compete with topps. Its going to war now Topps vs UD in 2010 now there enemies there kill each other. This is what baseball cards a rivalry which could deeply improve sells.

The Game Winner Yesterday

Man that game was great a home run to beak the tie and win the game was amazing. No I'm not talking about the A-Rod 15th inning Walk-Off Home Run, that placed 2nd in my top moments of yesterdays games. Im talking about Everth Cabrera's Walk-Off Grand Slam against the top closer in the game today K-Rod.

It was only Everth's second career Home Run and it was huge. Even though Cabrera struck out the previous three at a bats and he was facing a great pitcher he still battled and came out victorious.

The Padres haven't had much success this season but yesterdays game was incredible. That why I love baseball because if your team is bad they still have 162 games to have a great game, one that you'll remember.

I had fun making this card because Bob Gibson is one of my favorite players from the past. I fell in love with the incredible 1968 season where Gibson posted a rediclous 1.12 ERA and the World Series looked great. I was excited when the MLBNetwork decided to show Game 1 of the 68' W.S. were Gibson fanned 20 batters.

I like the card because it has an original design. It took alot of time to make this card and it came out great. I would love to get some feedback on the card, what you like or dislike.

Card Design. The text isn't the focal point, its very loud but still subtle. The simplicity is great, the card is very easy on easy. The autograph is a sticker but like many bowman products its incorporated into the design which looks great. I think Bowman's high-end products are great but a little bit too expensive, if you buy a hobby box, but buying singles on ebay is the best option.

About the player: McCutchen is starting to become one of my favorite players. With his great speed, spectacular defensive skills,and solid hitting, Andrew is starting to look like the face of franchise for many years to come. Although the pirates trade many of there stars McCutchen looks like hes going to stay a Pirate. He has been amazing with RISP hitting .395 BA, .489 OBP, getting 7 walks, and driving in 25 runs quite impressive for a 22 year old rookie.

2009 Trade deadline

Today has been a hectic day for baseball players, mangers, reporters, and fans. Big names were swirling around the media, players like Halladay, Lee, Martinez, Laroche, and my favorite player Adrian Gonzalez.

My heart sank thinking about the Padres Offense without there top hitter, or should I say there only hitter. I didn't how much of the Padres sucking I could tolerate from the players to the terrible ownership( the owner had to cut his payroll significantly because he couldn't keep "his pants on"' if you know I mean.

I woke up about 8 in morning to check up on trade rumors, and there was a bunch of story's going around many which fell threw. Adrian Gonzalez was heavily targeted by the Red Sox in a mega blockbuster trade. The price was eventually to high for the Red Sox's who have a serious problem of clinging on to there prospects.

There was serious trend of many teams holding on there prospects a little bit too much these past couple of years, but a bit more evident this year.

I was constantly watching and reading about updates of padres on the move. The deadline finally arrived and no Padres were traded ........YET.

When I arrived thinking that all the trades were set and done I heard a Bombshell. I mean this was the biggest trade I seen the Padres make in the 9 years of following them. It was Jake Peavy who got traded which was a bittersweet moment for me. I seen Jake pitch since the beginning of his pro debut, Peavy was the face of the franchise of the Padres along with ex padres Trevor Hoffman for many years.

Although I'm saddened of his departer I know its for the better of the team. I'm really excited of the young arms were receiving from the White Soxs.

Clayton Richard is struggling a bit, like most rookie, but with him moving to the NL and in pitchers friendly Petco Park his numbers will greatly improve. My favorite player has to be the White Sox top pitching prospect Aaron Poreda. He had a great season in AA this year with a 2.38 ERA and only 1 HR allowed and was recently called up.

The Padres look like they have a good young rotation

Chris Young/Mat Latos/Clayton Richards/Aaron Poreda/ maybe Sean Garrland

Overall I like the Padres move of Jake Peavy because they pulled off a great trade that benifits them for years to come.

Joe had a career BA of .312 2,226 hits and his OBP% was .391 ranking 42nd in the All-Time OBP(min:8,000 AB). I think this record is unbreakable and will stand the test of time.

The only think it lacks is more design around the card and a better font. To bad they discontinued it because with just a few adjustments it could have been a great product. Company's should take more risks on products they release. They should make sets were its not all about the hits like this product.

Its Not a Doll It's a Baseball Legend

I've always liked the Mcfarlane MLB figures but Ive only had 2(They were on Clarence). I was searching online where to buy them and I found a great site. I never knew they had so many Figures of baseball legends.

Here's one of Reggie Jackson with those great 70's Oakland jerseys that pop out. These are limited edition only 3,000 made for the 07 All-Star Game.

Here's one of Jackie Robinson which looks amazing. Its him sliding feet first to a base, it shows a lot of his momentum.

This one is great because the Figure has a story it captures a great baseball moment. Its Carlton Fisk famous shot of him hitting a GW Home Run in Game 6 of the 75' World Series.

This One is my favorite not just because it my favorite player but because it has a great movement and the pose is nice.

There's a great variety of Figures from Legends to Current stars, from sluggers to power pitchers. Best of all the majority of these are fairly cheap. I'll hopefully by a few because there's nothing I like more than Baseball greats of the past.

Micheal Vick Reinstated

I know I post purely Baseball related posts by I'll sneak in some Football stuff or maybe create a football blog or combine both.

I just read some news on Micheal Vick that he's going be reinstated but not until week 6. So teams are going to be able sign him i don't know when. Although what Vick did was wrong i think he already served his punishment by being locked up.

I cant imagine how crazy it's going to be Week 6, maybe many protests or boo's or cheers who knows. Can you imagine how the fans will react if he playes a game in the Georgia Dome.

This player isn't known outside San Diego. He was chosen in the Rule V Draft last year. Instead of just hiding him away like with many Rule V draftees the Padres decided to make him the starting shortstop.

Only 22 years old Everth has shown some growing pains but he's made some great plays with the glove and at the plate. Cabrera, like many hitters is great away from Petco hitting .281 and terrible at home hitting .194.

The main reason why the Padres got him was because of his speed. In the 40 games he's played he's robbed 10 bases.

This game was what you would call a blowout. The Mariners scored a total of 8 runs in the first inning, the pitcher never made it past an out. The Athletics couldn't make a comeback because Randy Johnson was on the mound but he only struck out 5 batters.

Its amazing what Rickey did with 4 plate appearances which were all walks. He was a one man wrecking crew stealing 5 bases and scoring 4 runs. Now you now how he ended up with the most runs scored. In 1989 Henderson had a .274 Avg pretty low but he had a .411 OBP which is great.

Jim Rice saves the day

I ran through this great article on espn about Jim Rice. It was about a 4 year old boy who got struck in the head with a foul ball. Rice was in the dugout when the boy was hit. Instead of just letting the paramedics take care of it he decided to help the boy. He carried the boy to the Red Sox medical staff ; his quick thinking ultimately saved his life.

This is the meaning of a real baseball player. The one that you look up to in your childhood days, like a superhero.

Hall of Fame Weekend

The Hall of Fame ceremony is tomorrow where Jim Rice & Ricky Henderson will be inducted. The whole ceremoney will be shown on the MLBNetwork which is nice. This is a great moment for fans to learn more about the history of the game and the players. To learn about the legends who played this game with so much passion & dedication. If more current baseball players would learn more about the great players of the past the state of baseball could be how it use to be. J.R. dominated the MLB in the late 70's with his pitching skills. He had all the stuff a 100 + Mph Fastball & a 90+ nasty slider. He was having great season from 76-79. He had a great 1st half during 1980 season being selected to his first All-Star Game. On July 30th tragedy struck when J.R. suffered a massive Stroke. He tried a comeback but it wasn't successful. Pedro was on a hot streak during the end of the 99 season and the beginning of the 2000 season. 11,15,11,15,17,14,12,12,11,12 were the strikeouts of each of the 10 games. Its pretty amazing he had 2 15K games and a 17k game, and 5 shutouts during the streak.

Design: I always like Upper Deck Jersey Cards, I like how they put the jersey inside numbers. The picture is nicely placed to the left with a very simple design to the right. Player: Justin Upton is not a known player outside the NL West. Justin was barley 19 when he was called up in 2007. Justin, now 21 is on the verge of having a breakout season in a year or two. Hi everyone hope you enjoy the blog. I haven't posted in 2 days but i will post something tomorrow. I started is blog barley a month ago and its great. I love writing posts and each one gets better and better.I created the blog to give people information about legendary players and baseball cards.

Me being 17 i don't know much about baseball history so this blog helps me and you gain some more information of the rich history. I'm also a novice in card collecting; i bought cards ever since 5Th grade but i didn't start seriously collecting until 2-3 months ago.

I'm a sports fanatic, I love Baseball & Football.I'm from San Diego and my favorite teams are the padres and chargers. I collect low-end sets, rookies, Relics , and Padre payers( my favorite player is Adrian Gonzalez).

Being a padre fan its hard to find a reason to watch them. Peavy out on dl Adrian has been on a cold streak and the future looks dim, but there must a light somewhere. Well Sunday there will be something to look forward to the Debut of Top Padre Pitching Prospect Mat Latos. Hopefully Latos has a good debut not a disaster which would make this season much of a failure.

Mat Latos has been amazing in minor leagues were he hasn't struggled at any level. He is a bit of a power pitcher with his 97 mph and good slider. In his 184 innings in the minors he had 216 strikeouts. Latos has very good numbers a 0.71 Whip this year and has only allowed 1 homer in 70 innings. But the most eye popping stat is his low ERA 1.91 in 47 innings this year.

watching him play, but i know that if you'd watched him every day of the season you would know

how great he truly is.
